Can the pieces darken?
Every plated accessory is particularly sensitive to chemical elements: sulphur and chlorine.
These elements are found in the compositions of various household products such as bleach (chlorine), white glues, creamy hydrogen peroxide (contains sulphur), and many others. Additionally, many foods such as eggs, mayonnaise, and onions can darken silver.
Avoid using your semi-fine jewellery when handling such products and foods to ensure your piece has more durability and shine. The piece will only oxidize if it comes into contact with sweat or perfume.
People who have very high uric acid due to some health problem can also cause the part to darken. It is advisable to store your jewellery in a dry place and not take a shower with it.
